"Reaching the Lost with the power of the Gospel."

Lighthouse Baptist Church - Newport, AR

Originally from Marion, Alabama, I joined the United States Air Force in April of 1990. I was saved in January 1996, while stationed at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA.

After short tours in Turkey, and Florida, I was reassigned to Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Arkansas (August 1998). It was while stationed there that Tonya and I were married and God led us to be baptized into Jacksonville Baptist Temple, an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.

In October of 2000, I surrendered to God’s will for my life, to be a preacher of the Gospel. God burden my heart early for Missions and Church Planting. My family and I have been faithful participants in our church’s missions program. In May of 2003, God made clear, His plan to use my family and I to plant a church in my home state of Alabama.

As a faithful member of Jacksonville Baptist Temple, I understand the mandate of the church is to evangelize the world. While preparing for God’s plans to use me in Alabama, a door opened in the fall of 2006 to plant a church in the small town of Newport, Arkansas.

After canvassing the city for 9 weeks, it was obvious that God was working in Newport, and the need for a New Testament Church was great. The church voted to send me and my family, along with one other family to start the New Testament Baptist Church of Newport, Arkansas.

We started holding service on February 4, 2007, and in a short period of time we’ve seen a number of souls saved, and baptized.

In the fall of 2007, we were able to purchase some property and we are currently in the process of building a 4000 square feet facility, to house the ministry.
